Notice of Public Meeting concerning the Marionville Energy Storage Project by Baseload Power LP. The Public Community Meeting will provide stakeholders the opportunity to review details of the project and to provide comments to the project team.
Ontario is entering a period of substantially decreasing electricity supply and increasing electricity demand that will require new electricity resources this decade. To address these needs, the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) is competitively securing 4,000 Megawatts (MW) of near-term capacity through multiple long-term requests for proposals, including 2,505 MW through its LT1 RFP. The Proponent, Marionville Energy Storage under the IESO LT1 RFP, along with its development partner Baseload Power LP, is developing a 75MW project in response to this need and the LT1 RFP.
The public meeting will be held on Friday, November 10th from 6:00-8:00pm at the Morewood Community Centre, located at 17 Russell Street, Morewood.
