The Winchester Branch (108) of the Royal Canadian Legion is proud to present GINO – A Child of War and a conversation with Col (retd) Tony Battista, the Executive Producer of the film on Friday, May 3rd, 2024, at 7pm (Doors open at 6:15) at the Old Town Hall, Winchester 478 Main St East, Winchester, ON, K0C 2K0.
Entry is by donation and will go to two great causes.
We are pleased to be in collaboration with North Dundas District High School, the students of which are working on a project to research, and publish on a website, the stories of all the fallen soldiers named on the Cenotaphs and Memorials located within North Dundas. NDDHS is also creating a display of crosses with the names of the fallen which will be put on display annually at various villages and hamlets within North Dundas. 50% of the funds raised will be donated to the High School to help offset the costs of materials. This project is expected to be completed in October 2024.
The other portion will be given to the Calgary based movie company, Combined Forces, who donated their time and resources to tell this important story of Gino and who are graciously providing us the ability to screen this movie.
For trailers and more information about the movie and Gino, please visit GINO – A Child of War
Popcorn and soft drinks will be available with the proceeds going to the North Dundas Movie Committee, a not-for-profit volunteer group committed to bringing an affordable movie-going experience to our Township.
We would like to thank the Township of North Dundas who is making the Old Town Hall available to us free of charge as part of the Township’s efforts to support Not for Profits working to make North Dundas a better place for all to life.
There are only 100 seats available, so reservations (on-line only) are highly recommended. For reservations click here RESERVATIONS RRSV before April 25th.
