Ronson Road Speed Reduction Pilot Project

May 27, 2021

The safety of residents is of the utmost concern of Council.  On May 25, 2021, Council authorized the speed limit on the east end portion of Ronson Road to be reduced from 80 km to 60 km effective immediately.  This road is a dead end; thus, school  buses do not have the ability to turn around.  Therefore, children cannot be dropped off in front of their homes and are required to walk along a stretch of road where complaints of excessive speeding have been received by Council.  The speed reduction is a pilot project implemented by Council to address safety concerns on this particular stretch of road.
