Following South Nation Conservation’s recent update and improved watershed conditions, Township staff consulted with the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) to assess impacts on the municipal water supply within our production wells.
Based on that assessment, the Township of North Dundas has determined that it is reasonable to lift all current municipal water restrictions.
The Township will continue to closely monitor the situation moving forward. If water levels do not continue to recharge as current trends indicate, or if conditions change, restrictions may need to be reinstated. Should that become necessary, discussions will take place in advance with affected parties.
While restrictions have been lifted, residents are still encouraged to conserve water and remain mindful of usage whenever possible.
Thank you to the community for your continued cooperation.
