Mayor Tony Fraser is serving in his third term on North Dundas Council. He was raised in Chesterville and has lived in Winchester for the last 29 years. He is a 30 year Parmalat employee, is a former Union Executive member and has been a member of their Joint Health and Safety Committee for the past 25 years.
Tony has been an active volunteer in his community and was a North Dundas firefighter for 23 years and Deputy Chief for the past 15 years. He is the former Secretary of the North Dundas Fire Services Steering Committee and the former Secretary of the S D & G Mutual Aid Fire Service Association.
Mayor Fraser enjoys cycling and hockey and is currently serving on the North Dundas Junior ‘C’ Rockets executive team.
Tony is married to Amy and they have one daughter, Emma.
Deputy Mayor Allan Armstrong is serving his fourth term on North Dundas Council. Allan currently serves as the North Dundas Fire Commissioner and lives in Winchester. He works for JED Transport that is based in South Mountain.
Tyler grew up on a multi-generational dairy farm owned by his mother and father, Gary and Donna Hoy, who wasted no time introducing Tyler to his life as a dairy farmer; which he happily embraced. Farm life provided him with a sound upbringing based on a good work ethic and an understanding of what it means to be accountable. He now cash crops over 2,000 acres and manages a successful trucking company.
“Proud to be in North Dundas” – those six words from Gary’s election signs really do sum him up. Gary is known to many in different capacities, from his Main Street store and from the different committees that he’s been on. These include the Winchester Revitalization Committee, the Dundas Manor, the United Church and as an original member of the BIA in Winchester with Joel Steele.
