St. Lawrence Street Detour
The Northbound lane of St. Lawrence Street in Winchester from Caleb Street to Main Street will be closed from July 19th to July 28th, in order to complete the Main Street sewer reconstruction.
This single lane closure will continue to permit parking for residents in the closed section for access to downtown businesses. Detours are in place on Caleb Street and Church Street to ensure efficient traffic flow through the area.
The Southbound lane of St. Lawrence Street will remain open with access to Main Street.
Residents are reminded to adhere to all no parking signs, stop signs and the construction traffic lights where located in order to maintain a safe environment.
Temporary No Parking Zones
There are two new no parking zones now to help traffic flow through Winchester during the construction on Main Street.
On Christie Lane from Church Street to Main Street on both sides of the street, as well as on the south side of Caleb Street along side the Winchester United Church, which will remain no parking zones until August 31st.
No parking signs have been installed accordingly in these areas. No parking is permitted at anytime in these areas during this time period.
