Health Canada has issued a product recall for certain above-ground swimming pools that are 48 inches (1.22 m) or taller. The affected models include select Bestway, Intex, and Polygroup pools.
This recall is due to an increased risk of drowning when the pools are used without a compliant ladder or barrier.
This may affect residents who:
Are currently applying for a swimming pool permit, or
Have recently received a permit for a swimming pool installation
If this applies to you, please contact our Building Services Department as soon as possible to ensure your installation complies with safety requirements and is not affected by the recalled products.
