Notice of Public Road Closures to Facilitate Winchester Bike Night

NOTICE OF PUBLIC ROAD CLOSURES TO FACILITATE WINCHESTER BIKE NIGHT

There will be road closures within the Village of Winchester to facilitate the Winchester Bike Night on September 8th. Please note that if the upcoming event is cancelled due to unsuitable weather, the event will be held on September 15th.

The Bike Night Committee will have volunteers stationed at road closure points to assist local commuters and to direct traffic. 

We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause and appreciate your cooperation.  Should you have any questions or specific needs please contact the organizers of Bike Nights, Vince Zandbelt (613-913-9670) or Owen Shortt (613-769-4852). They will work with you to address any issues.

The following list of closures will be in effect from 4:00pm until 9:00pm:

  • Winchester Main Street from Christie Lane to Gladstone Street – Closed – Local Traffic Only with 2 Lanes Open 
  • Winchester Main Street from Gladstone Street to Nation River Health Clinic (512a Winchester Main Street) – Closed – Local Traffic Only – 1 Lane Open 
  • Louise Street from Winchester Main to Church Street – Closed – Emergency Access Only 
  • Winchester Main Street from Nation River Clinic (512a Winchester Main Street) to Albert Street – Closed – Emergency Access Only 
  • St. Lawrence Street from Winchester Main Street to Caleb Street – Closed – Emergency Access Only 
  • Centre Street from Winchester Main Street to Queen Street – Closed Emergency Access Only 

The Detour Route planned for the event is as follows:

  • Christie Lane to Fred Street, Across St. Lawrence Street and North on Albert Street returning to Winchester Main Street
