2024 Municipal Budget approved on February 29th: Key Highlights

The 2024 Township of North Dundas Municipal Budget has now been approved by Council on February 29th.

As this year’s projects get underway, here are a few key highlights from the budget:

  • The overall residential tax rate increase is 5.9% and the overall net tax levy increase is 9.9% or $794,000 over last year
  • The Transportation Department has budgeted a combined $858,000 to improve Fawcett Road, Rodney Lane and Old Carriage Lane
  • The Roads Department has allocated $153,000 for a trackless sidewalk machine
  • The Recreation Department will be purchasing a $171,000 electric ice resurfacer
  • $2 million is budgeted for the Hallville Park Development and $110,000 is scheduled to develop the Oschmann Park
