THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF NORTH DUNDAS - NOTICE OF A PUBLIC MEETING

On Tuesday, December 14th, 2021 the Council of the Corporation of the Township of North Dundas will hold a public meeting, pursuant to section 12 of the Development Charges Act, 1997, as amended, to present and obtain public input on the municipality’s proposed Development Charges (D.C.) By-law and underlying background study.

All interested parties are invited to attend the Public Meeting of Council and any person who attends the meeting may make representations relating to the proposed D.C. By-law and background study. The meeting is to be held:

Tuesday, December 14th, 2021 at 6:00pm in the Council Chambers at 636 St. Lawrence Street, Winchester, ON. 

In order that sufficient information is made available to the public, the background study and draft By-law are being made available on the Township’s website on November 19th, 2021. Copies of the proposed D.C. By-law and the background study will also be available from the Municipal Clerk at the Township Office or call (613) 774-2105.

Interested persons may express their comments at the public meeting or in writing, addressed to the Municipal Clerk, at the address below prior to December 10th, 2021.

NOTICE OF A PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE (FORMER TOWNSHIP OF MOUNTAIN) ZONING BY-LAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF NORTH DUNDAS
    
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the Township of North Dundas will hold a public meeting on the 14th day of December, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. at the North Dundas Municipal Council Chambers 636 St. Lawrence Street, Winchester, Ontario to consider a proposed amendment to (Former Township of Mountain) Zoning By-law No. 79-6 under Section 39.1 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter P. 13, as amended.

THE PROPOSED ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT would change the zoning of the lands known as 10608 Sandy Row, legally described as West ½ of the East ¼ of Lot 7, Concession 1. as indicated by the red outline area on the attached Key Map. The purpose is to enable the installation of a garden suite by rezoning the property from “Rural (RU)” to “Rural Temporary Use Nine (RU-T9).” 
                
IF THE PROPOSED BY-LAW is adopted, the subject property will be zoned to permit a Garden Suite as a temporary use for a maximum of 20 years (renewable for 3 year periods thereafter), in addition to the permitted uses in the Rural (RU) zone. 

IF A PERSON or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Council of The Corporation of the Township of North Dundas to the Ontario Land Tribunal (the Tribunal) but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Township of North Dundas before the By-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision. 

IF A PERSON or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Township of North Dundas before the By-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION relating to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is available for inspection from Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Township Office located at 636 St. Lawrence Street, or by contacting the Planning Department at (613) 774-2105.
