Please Follow these Simple Steps for Recycling the Following Materials:

CARDBOARD- Place boxboard with cardboard PLEASE BREAK DOWN

NEWSPAPERS- Please place in a paper bag, plastic bag, cardboard box or bundle up: Leave on top of or beside your blue box.

STEEL AND ALUMINUM CANS- Rinse cans to remove food residues: Crush cans, if possible and place in box

GLASS JARS AND BOTTLES- Rinse bottles and jars, place in Blue Box: do not include light bulbs, window panes, drinking glasses, or ceramics

PLASTICS- you may recycle 2 litre PETE soft drink bottles, and several types of plastics:

     HDPE: bleach bottles, fabric softener containers, vinegar bottles etc. Look on the bottom of the
     container for the HDPE symbol

     LDPE & PP: margarine tubs, yogurt, sour cream and cottage cheese containers etc. Look on
     the bottom for the LDPE or PP mark -rinse containers to wash off food residue and place in blue
     box

TEXTILES / USED CLOTHING- Place in plastic garbage bag and tie with a strip of clothing or a sock. Place on top of or beside blue box.

PLASTIC BALE WRAP - You can bring this to the landfill site during regular hours of operation at no charge.

4' FLUORESCENT TUBES - Please bring these to the Boyne Road Landfill Site during regular hours of operation.  They will be recycled at no charge.
