Are you looking for a place to celebrate a special event or host a gathering of friends? The Township of North Dundas has the halls and the diversity to do it. Whether you need a small, cozy atmosphere for a seminar, meeting, or business get together or space for a community gathering, one of these halls would be the perfect location for your event. Table & Chair Rental Policy

The Recreation and Culture Department rents tables and chairs to the public for their events.  (Table and chairs are included in hall rentals). Individuals requesting tables and/or chairs are required to come to the municipal office to sign a rental agreement and pay in full before they will be permitted to use the table and/or chairs.  For more information, contact Mary Lynn Plummer at 774-2105

Tables picked up and dropped off by user $2.00 per table
  dropped off and picked up by township staff $3.00 per table
Chairs picked up and dropped off by user $0.75 per chair
  dropped off and picked up by township staff $1.25 per chair


Chesterville Community Hall

1 Mill St., Chesterville

Located in the heart of beautiful down town Chesterville, this hall has a capacity of approximately 250 people and can be used for a variety of activities. There is a bar and kitchen area that can be used and licensed by the renter. The hall is fully air-conditioned and has a stage area that can be utilized for live or recorded entertainment.   The Community Hall is also available to accommodate your day or evening meeting. 

Chesterville Arena Ice Surface
153 Chesterville Queen St., Chesterville

For those larger parties, community festivals, auctions, etc. the arena ice surface is available in the off season (April to September). Approximately 900 people can be accommodated with a moveable bar and stage area. Spacious parking is available on a paved lot with easy access.

Nelson Laprade Centre
9 William St., Chesterville

The Nelson Laprade Centre is located in a beautiful park setting in Chesterville. This hall is suitable for many events and can be divided in two with capacity of 60 people per side or the full hall with capacity of 120 people. The Nelson Laprade Centre is home to various senior activities, the Rotary Club and the Chesterville Lion’s den. It features full air conditioning, kitchen facilities on both halves, paved parking and is fully handicapped accessible. The Laprade Centre is a very attractive setting for hosting smaller events such as anniversaries, birthday parties and family get togethers.

Morewood Community Centre
17 Russell St., Morewood

Situated in the hamlet of Morewood, the Morewood Community Centre is a very spacious hall with a capacity of approximately 250 people. This hall is on ground level and is very handi-capped accessible. It has a small stage area for entertainment, a dance floor, kitchen and bar. The bar is fully licensed and run by the Recreation Association. The hall is fully air-conditioned and has abundant parking available on a paved lot.

Mountain Hall

The Mountain Hall with capacity of approximately 100 people, is located in the hamlet of Mountain and is used by various organizations to hold their functions. The hall is fully air-conditioned, provides kitchen and bar access and is partially handicapped accessible.

Winchester Community Hall
577 Main St., Winchester

The Winchester Community Hall is spacious and accommodates a variety of uses. Hall capacity is approximately 300, featuring a stage area for live or recorded entertainment and a dance floor. The hall is fully air-conditioned and will be handicapped accessible in the near future. Kitchen facilities are available as well as a bar that can be fully licensed by the renter. Abundant parking is available on a paved lot.

Winchester Arena Ice Surface
577 Main St., Winchester

The arena ice surface is the perfect location for large parties, community festivals, auctions and other large events. It is available for rental from April until mid-August. The ice surface accommodates approximately 900 people with abundant parking on a paved lot. The bar and stage areas can be set up to your specifications.

Winchester Cultural Centre (Old Town Hall)
478 Main St., Winchester

The Old Town Hall in Winchester is home to the Dundas County Players theatre group. The County Players have been providing plays, cabarets and dinner theatre since 1996. With a capacity of 80 people this centre is also great for meetings and presentations. The front space is excellent for heritage displays, art shows and special events. During the summer months this section is open to the public as a public museum to view the township’s history. The Centre is fully air conditioned and handicapped accessible.
