The
administration department coordinates municipal activities and
operations so that they proceed in an integrated fashion. It
provides policy advice and recommendations to council and ensures
that decisions made by council are carried out in a timely and
effective manner.
Each
municipal department has a manager and these managers (6) report
to the CAO. The CAO works closely with this team to plan and
review issues and activities and determine how they will impact
the municipality.
Special municipal projects are also undertaken or are the
responsibility of the administration department. These include
water and sewer projects, economic development activities and
other projects as mandated by council or the CAO.
The
administration department consists of three people:
