Call to Order: |
7:40 am |
Gerry Boyce (incoming President)
introduced himself and welcomed everyone present.
Additions to Agenda: Angela Rutley
added topic Website Info
1) Murray Inch was supposed to be
in attendance to discuss development of recreational trail in the
North Dundas area but was not present. It was suggested that
further info could be obtained by contacting Dr. Bart Steele.
2) Angela Rutley from the township
office discussed the proposed BUSINESS DIRECTORY to be
handed out to all new residents. Owen asked what the difference
was from that directory being done by the Chamber.
Township version will contain all
businesses with a brief description and contact person and will be
done in booklet format. They will be listed alphabetically by
service and will not contain any dated info. Owen again
questioned whether this would take away from advantages of being a
member of the Chamber as the info would be put on the website.
3) TOWNSHIP MAP - similar to
one that Butch Oldford did about 4 years ago except it would just
be North Dundas and ads would only be open to North Dundas
businesses, at a cost of about $300 per ad. About 10000 to 15000
copies to be printed initially. John V. suggested that they
first get a price on printing, divide by the number of spaces for
ads - the township should not make a profit. Discussion followed
- will every household be mailed a copy, how long will the map be
valid (name changes of streets etc), extend map perameters by 1 -
2 roads.
4) WEBSITE: should be
updated to include new executive, fees and application form.
5) 2003 REGISTRATION CAMPAIGN:
Connie said the Chesterville Legion offered the use of their
facilities as long as their wine was used. She also suggested
that we come up with 2 dates and she would confirm . We must
also be able to tell people why they should belong and what they
will get for their $75. Sandra C. suggested that a committee get
together to put benefits to paper and have ready for wine and
cheese. Notice of social as well as registration form & invoice
for dues should be mailed out ahead of time. The dates suggested
are Feb 20 or Feb
27.
Some benefits
Committee consisting of Sandie P,
Owen Shortt and Gerry Boyce to meet Monday Jan. 27 at 7:30
am at Country Kitchento lay out benefit package.

bank statement and financial report be made at every meeting and
that perhaps the books be audited.
Meeting adjourned at 9:00 am.
Next meeting to be held on Thursday March 20 at 7:30 am at
Country Kitchen
