Represent a group association of over 20, 000 members across
Canada

Caters to Small Business Employee Insurance in Rural Areas
-
5 % of all premiums from members of Chamber & their employees
are returned to that local Chamber of Commerce at end of year
(April)

As a small business, you can have only the owners on your
individualized policy, or include ALL employees who work a 24
hr + workweek.

Tiered policies are accepted.

Policies can include LTD, STD, Office expense overhead, Med.,
Dental, etc.

Distributor is Johnson Group Ins. (Winnipeg), Insurer is
Imperial Life/Dejardins-Casse Populaire
-
Renewal of Insurance policies can be subject to 6-9% increases
(versus a typical 15%) as a reflection of the 20, 000 members,
inflation, etc

Information packages will be sent out by Nick to non-present
members

Next steps: endorsement of Chamber of Commerce of
representation by Nick & Bill, Letter signed by Jerry

to the meetings

Ward representatives are to contact non-paying members and
remind them of balance outstanding.

There are no current By-Laws existing for the Township of
North Dundas with regards to Business Signage on Private
Property

Chamber would like to advertise to “Shop Locally”

Motion to brainstorm: How to advertise, What to Advertise,
Where and When to promote Retail and Home-Based Business as a
whole for our Township

Chamber of Commerce Membership by Non-residents and
Non-Businesses of North Dundas

Discussion of pros & cons

General acceptance of promoting North Dundas Business and
Members of Chamber

Various Wards are currently identifying needs in their area
