Attendance:

1.  Meeting called to order at 7:30 a.m. by Gerry Boyce with introduction of attendees. 

2.  Additions to minutes: Flowers for Chesterville by Connie.  Sandie P. pointed out that this was not a subject for this meeting.  This matter should be dealt with at Regional level. 

3.  Presentation:  Mike Moran was not able to attend.  He is trying to get a Workplace Safety Seminar organized.  A show of  hands showed a number of members interested.  Owen to notify Mike. 

4.  Treasurer’s Report:  Sandra reported that 62 members have paid - $4650.00 

5.  Map:  Gerry and Butch attended the meeting with South Dundas Chamber to see about a joint effort map of entire Dundas county.  South Dandas Chamber wishes to use this as a fundraising opportunity and suggested  North and South would each get 35 ad spaces and charge  $350 per ad (business card size) with each Chamber getting $7200.  Maps would cost .50 each for 30,000 copies and .37 each for 40,000 copies.  The map would be good for 2 years.  Quotes are from C & L Specialty in Brockville.  Discussion followed with the majority agreeing that this joint effort not a good idea and that the ad cost was too high.  John V. suggested that we use the map that is already out there - update it – print 15,000 copies - charge members $100 per ad and non members $300 - just meet our costs and use this as a promotional tool rather than a fundraiser.

Motion made by John V./seconded by Paul Rodie that we have map of our own and not joint with South Dundas.  All in favor; carried.

Owen suggested that we get 2 other quotes - Winchester Print and Eastern Ontario Graphics                

6.  Heather put forth an advertising plan to promote our Chamber.  The ads would run in McIntosh Inn - cost of $120 per month plus set up.  Everyone agreed that we must do something to promote North Dundas and asked if Heather could bring her advertising ideas to the next meeting. 

7.  Meeting adjourned at 8:50 a.m.
